City trip to Europe's aerospace capital
DISCOVER LA PISTE DES GÉANTS
The cultural highlight of 2019
This is the cultural highlight of 2019, building a bridge between remembrance and innovation. In Montaudran, birthplace of the Toulouse aeronautical industry, 3 special areas have recently been created: L’Envol des Pionniers ("The Pioneers' Take-off") devoted to the pioneers of L’Aéropostale, Les Jardins de la Ligne ("Gardens of the Line") created around the old runway, which is a listed Historic Monument, and La Halle de La Machine ("The Machine Hall"). This place, devoted to the La Machine company's gigantic machines designed by François Delarozière, contains 150 animated creatures for a permanent spectacle.
VISIT LA CITÉ DE L’ESPACE
A great classic that's always up-to-date
La Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse, the park dedicated to the European space adventure, is the ultimate day out for the family. A giant screen IMAX® cinema, planetarium, the moon-runner simulator to feel like you're walking on the moon, the Ariane 5 rocket, a spaceport just for 6-12-year-olds, the little astronauts' square (age 3 and up), the Soyuz spacecraft and the Mir space station are among the highlights awaiting visitors.
A place where researchers, astronauts and the public come together, La Cité de l'Espace is always buzzing, keeping up with all the latest news from space.
Highlight at La Cité de l’Espace: the "Moon: episode II" exhibition, from 20 April 2019, to celebrate 50 years since man first walked on the Moon.

At the site located opposite the Airbus assembly hall, visitors can board a real Concorde, Airbus A330B, A400M and Super Guppy. The visit can continue with a tour of the Airbus A380 or A350 factories.
